abitat Rich Environment

Our lodge and hunting properties are located in Humphreys County, Tennessee near the Tennessee River.  We have over 2100 acres of prime hunting areas dedicated entirely to wildlife.  Our land has been transformed through hard work and research into a habitat rich environment where quail and other wildlife thrive.  We have reintroduced many species of native plants such as varying species of warm season grasses and bundle flower. We have also allowed our edges and fence rows to become thick with honeysuckle and briars, which are essential for quail and other small game.  With the advice of small game biologists from the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, (TWRA) and other wildlife habitat managers we have created an area for our clients to hunt that is rich with game and great for stretching your legs behind a brace of well trained gun dogs.

Skilled Guides

All of our quail hunting here is done on foot; however we accommodate those individuals who are unable to make some of the walks, with specially equipped hunting buggies.  Our guides are specially trained to make each hunt an exciting and unforgettable trip, using their skills in shooting and basic gun maintenance, to quickly solve any trouble in the field should it arise. Though all of our guides are trained to make each hunt smooth and safe, their main job is to work dogs and provide a bad joke or two. With us quail hunting is about enjoying times with friends and our job is to make sure that all of our clients can relax and hunt.

Gun Dogs

Here at Tumbling Creek we are dog crazy. If it can run and point birds then we love them. We take pride in our dog work and train all of our dogs. We have a working relationship with each gun dog and do not judge dogs by breed, only ability. While all of our hunts are fully guided and only require that you enjoy yourself, we do encourage our guests to bring their own gun dog if they wish. We have special kennels set aside to accommodate outside dogs only.    

Licensing & Safety First

We are a full service and licenses lodge and that allows us to set our own season for upland birds. We pre purchase all licenses needed for our clients to hunt birds, and only require that youths successfully complete their hunters safety course. We take care of your entire trip before you arrive, from any dietary needs to what shell you most prefer to shoot. With us you can truly relax and enjoy friends and the atmosphere of a good hunt.

Bag Limits

There is no bag limit on quail and every hunter may take as many quail home with him as are taken during the days hunt.  All birds are cleaned and processed on site and will be available upon your departure.

Large Groups

We also offer corporate hunts for large groups.  This is a full day event loaded with lots of shooting and good food.  The day consists of a mourning driven pheasant shoot followed by lunch and an afternoon of quail hunting and pheasant hunting with guides and dogs.
